Q: How do I get food?
A: Come get a food card to attend one of our 8 food distributions every month. If you need immediate help come to our office M-Th 10am -2pm.
Q: What do I need to bring to get my food card?
A: Please bring proof of your current address (i.e., ID, piece of mail, etc.) and be prepared to share the income for your household.
Q: Do I need to get my food card first before coming to a distribution?
A: We strongly encourage you to get the food card prior to attending our distributions. If it is your first time attending a distribution and you are in need of food, you can attend the distribution without showing the food card. We ask that you come in the following business day to be registered.
Q: What kind of food will I receive:
A: Every registered family will receive a grocery cart full of groceries at our food distributions. The carts of food vary depending on the season, but usually include frozen meat, fresh produce, fresh dairy products, fresh bread, canned goods, and pantry items.
Q: How many times can I receive food from the distributions?
A: You can receive food from our distributions twice a month.
Q: Do you help distribute food for Pets?
A: While feeding pets is not our main focus, we do offer pet food assistance through our Senior Program sponsored by the Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond. Qualified Seniors must register in advance for Pet assistance.
Q: What is the Outreach Center?
A: Our Outreach Center helps to connect those in need with other crucial resources to help reduce food insecurity. We connect you with community partners who are able to provide resources that are outside of our scope of service.
VOLUNTEER FOCUSED FAQ
Q: How do I sign up to volunteer with CFBOC?
A: We have several different types of volunteer opportunities. Sign up to volunteer at one of our food distributions, join our Food Outreach or Motel Outreach Program, or if you are an employer we have many ways for you and your employees to participate while team building.
Q: Do I have to dedicate a certain amount of hours per month to volunteer?
A: As a volunteer, we appreciate any time that you dedicate to forwarding our mission. If you would like to become an impact volunteer, we ask that you dedicate at least 12 hours a week. You can meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.

Q: Why donate to CFBOC?
A: The Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach strives to meet the food and resource needs of families who would ordinarily fall through the cracks because of their income. Your donations help to supply 4 meals for every dollar spent and help us to continue to empower the lives of families and individuals in the Chesterfield County area.
Q: Can I drop off food donations?
A: Absolutely! Please drop food donations off at the warehouse entrance (the double doors at the end of the building), and one of our warehouse leaders will process your donation. If our office is closed, you can drop off donations at our orange bins.
Q: I have leftover food from an event, can I donate it to CFBOC?
A: We can accept unopened, non-perishable foods that you would like to donate after an event.
Q: What about meat items?
A: We can only accept meat that has been purchased same-day with a receipt showing the date of purchase.

Q: Can I set up a food drive?
A: Yes! Hosting a traditional food drive helps the CFBOC continue to meet the needs of our amazing community. We invite you, your neighborhood, civic group, church, or business to host a food drive and help us fight hunger here in Chesterfield County.

Q: Are you a branch of FeedMore?
A: No, but we are proud to be the largest pantry partner of Feedmore. In fact, FeedMore’s role is that of the main distributor of food to pantries throughout the Central Virginia area by selling it to us at an extremely reduced price. Feedmore exists so that we can provide fresh food for families and individuals in Chesterfield County who attend our distributions.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase or donate via www.cfboc.org (the “Site”).
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Data Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
